‘Dream’ window

You enamelled my pane with your dreams
But I was hungry to see more;
You took pride in my presence
And I took in yours;
The world seemed empty when you shut me up;
So I moaned with the silent breeze
And groaned with your slight touch;

But when you did unbolt my leashes,
My hinges cried with the mirth of freedom;
I could swing easily then
As I was destined to be;
But, I believe that I painted your sight
Yet again with imagination of paradise- that came alive.
