Wanting more…

You strode gracefully past me
Drooling  venom that was inside you
Your pupils dilated occasionally
With contempt
And I digested my own sorrows
Like a brick of ice left dying in the sun;

You sucked love out of me
And I was left yearning and clinging on:
I always wanted more.

The hair on my back stood still
When I heard your footsteps
Approaching ;
Like an equine afraid of its master.

You swept me off my feet
And I felt so disowned and neglected;
I was a deer  lost in the valley;

I knew it all this while
But my heart was in denial
Of my intellectual ordinance.
And maybe that is why I chose to not pay heed
As you begged thereafter…
